Centuries-old Qintong Boat Festival celebrated in Jiangsu

Over five hundred boats gathered on Sunday for the Qintong Boat Festival. Originating in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), it was a ceremony to commemorate war victims around the Qingming Festival. The festival was listed as the state-level intangible cultural heritage in 2008.
