1.China's annual "two sessions" began on Tuesday. China’s 2025 government work report, unveiled Wednesday, reviewed achievements in 2024, and outlined policies and plans for 2025 in economy, technology, environment and other fields.

2.Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi introduced the country’s foreign policies and external relations at a press conference on the sidelines of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing on Friday.

"Head-of-state diplomacy will write a new chapter of closer cooperation and shared success between China and the world," Wang said.

4.A team of Chinese and foreign scientists has discovered underground sedimentary layers on Mars that appear to have been shaped by oceanic activity, providing new evidence that water once existed at the planet's middle to low latitudes.

The findings, published on Tuesday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, were led by Li Jianhui, a doctoral student at Guangzhou University, and Professor Liu Hai.

5.Four paralyzed individuals have undergone groundbreaking surgery to implant electrodes in their brains and spinal cords in Shanghai, creating a "nerve bypass" that has restored their ability to walk independently, according to the Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-Inspired Intelligence at Fudan University, which developed the technology, on Tuesday.

6.The 2024 Global Mahjong Championship League (GMCL) China finals concluded in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on Tuesday, with Sichuan Panda Team defeating Shandong Blue Whale Team to claim the championship. Interestingly, two members of the championship-winning team, Wang Yu and Ge Rui, are alumni of Peking University.

7.The 2025 World Intelligence Expo kicked off in north China's Tianjin on Thursday. With the theme "Smart Manufacturing for the Future, Green Transformation," the expo focused on the latest achievements in artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, green energy, and intelligent manufacturing.

8.Chinese architect Liu Jiakun was awarded the 2025 Pritzker Architecture Prize, according to official sources on Tuesday.

Born in southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu, Liu is the 54th laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the second Chinese architect to receive this prestigious honor, following Wang Shu.

9.Over 70 Chinese ritual bronzes from the late Shang Dynasty (1300 B.C.-1046 B.C.) to the Han dynasty (25 A.D.-220 A.D.) was on display at China Institute Gallery in Lower Manhattan, New York City from Thursday to Friday.

10.Shanghai Disney Resort has announced a series of spring celebrations running from March 3 to May 31, featuring monthly themed events and seasonal attractions.
